Throughout my career, I have worked closely with both clients and candidates across a broad range of engineering disciplines, building strong, long-term relationships and delivering tailored recruitment solutions that add real value.

With a deep understanding of the engineering sector, I take pride in matching the right talent to the right opportunity, offering honest, informed advice, and maintaining a consistently high standard of service. My approach is consultative and relationship-driven, with a strong focus on achieving long-term success for both clients and candidates.

Outside of work, I lead a very active lifestyle. To balance a fast-paced professional environment, I enjoy spending my free time in the gym and pursuing my passions for motocross and tennis, which help keep me focused, driven, and motivated.

Gilbert Tuplin

Director

With many years of professional experience, I now focus on supporting organisations through strategic oversight and guidance. Over the years I have had the privilege of working in a variety of businesses, predominantly manufacturing and technical both in the UK and overseas. As a “young lad” I undertook a traditional apprenticeship starting life on the shop floor. The journey through my working life has exposed me to a wide range of interesting and diverse people at all levels in business. I have fond and amusing memories of rehiring the snake catcher whom I had dismissed in a cost cutting exercise the day before, only to find the entire workshop refusing to work without one. This was a real H&S issue as cobras are very common, and several were caught in the metal stores. Something I have never experienced nor wish to in the UK.

I have been fortunate to have been mentored by some talented individuals that supported and encouraged me to study for a degree in later life. As a great advocate of learning I continue to apply my knowledge and skills both in work and in my personal life. I have also mentored others which I thoroughly enjoyed and continued to do so whilst carrying out my responsibilities as a board director.

Based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, life outside of work revolves around my family, my little boy, my husband, and our lively cockerpoo. When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me down at the beach on my paddle board or relaxing with a good crime or romance novel, or the occasional Netflix binge.

Ashley Dade

Power Recruitment Consultant

With several years of recruitment experience, I specialise in the renewable energy, power, and wider engineering markets, supporting businesses across solar, BESS, EV charging, HV electrical, grid connections, ICP, utilities, and critical power.

I work closely with both clients and candidates, taking the time to understand what matters most on both sides of the process. For clients, that means understanding their business, culture, technical requirements, and long-term hiring plans. For candidates, it means offering honest advice, market insight, and opportunities that genuinely match their experience and career goals. My approach is consultative, straightforward, and relationship-led. I focus on building long-term partnerships, representing businesses with integrity, and connecting the right people with the right opportunities across a fast-moving and highly competitive energy market.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, training in the gym, travelling, exploring new places, and occasionally hitting golf balls into water.
